The Richmond
Legion Br 625 Lawn Sculpture – Lest We Forget
The front lawn
area of the Richmond Legion Br 625 is made up of 3
components.
The Cairn
which has its own tab on this website and was finished
in 2013 and dedicated as part of the 40th
anniversary celebrations.
The Fallen Not
Forgotten cross that also has its own tab on this
website and was originally part of the
Memorial Park &
Cenotaph until it was broken in a microburst in
1998. It was then moved to the front lawn of the
Richmond Legion to become part of the garden. In 2023
as part of the refurbishment of the area, the flower bed
was removed and the cross was repositioned to be better
seen from the street and set off with a bed of pure
white stones.
The Lest We
Forget metal sculpture is the latest item added to
the front of the Richmond Legion and was created as
part of the 50th anniversary of the Richmond
Legion celebrations, which were held on June 3, 2023. It
sits prominently on the front grass as a reminder to all
who pass by not to forget the past, present and future
service members of our Canadian Armed Forces.
